Just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm Charles Sadler and I'm an Electronica promoter/producer in the St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota area. I've been doing music for a very long time (17-20 years) and I have been writing music for about 6 years.

My experience in the business profession of the music world is very limited. I've officially released one record in my "pride and joy" band called Little Tin Box. The album, called Object~Subject, received a very flattering review in issue 7 of Gothic Beauty.

I'm here by invitation... I don't know what else to say.

Thanks for inviting me,

Little Tin Box : Darkwave/Romantic
{space bar} - EBM/IDM/Industrial/Dark Age
Dissociate - Noise/EBM

Hey there. Nice to meet you.

I'm Otto Bahn. I play bass in a shoegazer band Snowdonnas, and guitar/vocal in a post-punk/new wave band Destination Venus, both located in the Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas area. I've been playing music for around 17 years.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Dallas TX electronic scene, but some people you might like to know are:

Cyberina Flux
She hosts the Rocket Radio program (Industrial, IDM, Dance, Gothic, and Experimental electronic) Friday nights 12am-4am 89.3 KNON-FM (internet broadcast)
She also runs an electronic music promotion outfit called Defektor along with co-hart DJ Floorclearer.
DJ Floorclearer also participates in a weekly dark eloctro DJ event called Europa (Fort Worth TX).

Another cool weekly dark electronic club event in the DFW area is Ascension. (with internet broadcast)

The sad thing is that there is not a lot of electronic music actually being made in this scene. BUT the people I have listed are ALL about bringing in live shows. So if LTB or other MN bands you work with are looking to dip down into Texas, definitely contact these people.

Snowdonnas (shoegazer) released its first album in March 2003 on the Austin TX label Ballyhoo Withdrawal, and we've been lucky enough to receive some good local and national press, with favorable comparisons to Catherine Wheel, My Bloody Valentine, and Ride.
We are concentrating on developing a strong and devout local cult--I mean following. Heh... oops.

Destination Venus (post-punk/new wave) draws inspiration from the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, the Cure, and Joy Division. In a previous lineup incarnation, we covered "Seventeen Seconds" on the Cure tribute comp "One Thousand Screaming Children" (Ballyhoo Withdrawal Records). We are currently in a bit of a hiatus, complete with lavishly outdated website, but we are looking to release a debut 6-song EP around the turn of the New Year.
(new updates coming soon)

I'm sure you are familiar with the many Jett Black-moderated discussion groups, but if you're not, check out the topic titled E-FORUMS & MAILING LISTS located in the forum OUR RECOMMENDATIONS for MARKETING YOUR MUSIC right here on this very message board.

Have you ever been involved with a compilation CD? Or perhaps just listened to a compilation CD?
Take a look at my post on the subject here:;f=11;t=000004
I would very much like your feedback.

"...dark, brooding rhythms and chord progressions that recreate the sounds of the late 70’s/early 80’s underground alternative of London." – |shoegazer|
"...recalls the mid-tempo melodiousness of the Catherine Wheel." – The Los Angeles Times

Let's see now... This message was originally posted by gothygirl:

Hmmm... right around the time that Lord of the Rings - Return of the King hits the theatres...

Do you plan on seeing it in the theatres? and if so, would you prefer to see it the weerk that it debuts?

2 weeks later?

3 - 4 weeks later?

More than 4 weeks later?

I hear that in select locations, Lord of the Rings, the entire 11-hour trilogy, will be shown.

Personally, I'm up for the 11-hour sit-in. Though, I don't know if that will be an option in my neighboring area.
