MY REVIEW: Modern Rock Mood Spins!
Ghost Parade unleash a cornucopia of interpretive lyrical talent deeply rooted in successful song elements which have been transforming the 80's and 90's sub-pop musicsceneinto the moody electro-pop trend of modern-day rock music. "From the prolific city of Portland, Oregon, Ghost Parade offer us their second album's intense and dense goth-rock/dark-wave music. Nice deep vocals that will make you think of many peculiar singers of the genre supported by piano, acoustic guitars, electric guitars and drums, ranging from the intimacy of a ballad to the slow-paced gothic marching all the way to the raging post-punk episodes, reveal a band whose identity is still undefined and somewhat compromised by the heavy influences of the fathers of the genre (Sisters, Cure, Bauhaus, Nephilims, Mission) but who also have more to their sound than simply '80es nostalgia revival, such as influences from the modern-day dark audio-poetry of bands such as November, Opeth, Clan of Xymox, Canaan and others.
