The following reflects an announcement to a new moderator of a new music newsletter/discussion group associated with the music of the person who is made moderator or owner of that group.
What follows is an example of decisions that need to be consdiered and acted upon once a new group at YaH00! has been created.

MANAGEMENT AND GROUP SETTINGS:
INVITE NEW MEMBERS (invite ONLY!)
(ADDING GROUP MEMBERS CAN RESULT IN GROUP/ACCOUNT CANCELLATION. BE CAREFUL).
When I "invite" group members to join (rather than adding them in most cases) I use a different account. I do not use my main account.
This is a precaution. In case there are ANY problems, the main account and the group are NOT affected.
I've never had an account cancellation... however, from time to time (in the past using my own main account or email address attached to my domain name), a more pesky, pissed off person will sometimes draft a complaint to an isp or to YaH00!, or to a web host provider...
Therefore, by using a different account reserved only for invitations, etc.. not tied to anything else, then nothing else is affected by any such complaints.
Those complaints are virtually eliminated before they start by the lack of anywhere specific to direct the complaints to other than yahoo for what is an expendable account.
Make sure that the account used to invite new members is tied to nothing else at all.
The complaints, when they happen with ties to something critical, tend to be rather alarming.
Nothing ever happens so long as there's no tie to anything critical. If the account you use to invite people to join a group is NOT tied to your domain name, not tied to your main account with YaH00!, and only tied to the group by means of sub-moderator status, (NOT group-owner) then there are no links to anything critical.
Delegating responsibilities appropriately between accounts is the most secure way to market awareness of new music via YaH00! and most any other internet station like it.
